I love this paper Ty did at school. It shows his innocence and how generous he is. I love that he is always willing to share and that he thinks of others before himself. He has obviously heard us talk about our cars (both are getting old). If only we could buy a car for $100. :-)

AJ at 8 years old
8 sounds so grown up to me. It's hard to believe AJ is 8!
AJ . . .
continuously amazes me with his knowledge of random facts. He has a few fact books and he'll remember detailed numerical facts like the speed of light.
is doing great in school; he's above grade level for reading, he excels in math, his weakness is spelling, but taking extra time to study results in doing well on the spelling tests.
has a lot of activities right now. He does chess club, boy scouts, soccer, and is practicing for the church musical.
now picks out his own clothes before school.
has developed a "teenage-like" attitude occasionally. When I tell him to do something he will interrupt me and say, "I know Mom!" I didn't think this started so young.
is very mature for his age and we have to encourage him to just be a kid and play.
loves playing mindcraft.
loves reading, espically Diary of A Wimpy Kid books, I survived books and Magic Tree House.
gets to stay up later than his brothers. His bed time is now 8:00.
will learn how to do his laundry on his own now that he is 8.
his closest friends are Gideon, Miles, Sadie, Gracie and Juliana.
I am so thankful to see the growth in AJ the past few months. He is an amazing kid and I am blessed to be his mother. Wow! I have an 8 year old.

Birthday Party
We celebrated AJ and Ty's birthdays today with a party at Pinstrikes! We had lots of friends and family that came and the kids got to bowl and play laser tag. The boys got tons of presents! We are so blessed to have so many people that love our family. A fun party for everyone!
Polar Plunge
My brother's kids came in town for the boys birthday party and since we have a pool they brought their bathing suits- why not? All 3 of them jumped in and got right out. It was a nice day, but the water is still a bit chilly. AJ, Ty and Mark just watched, none of them were willing to try it.

Ty at 6 years old
Today Ty is 6. He is a great kid and we are blessed to have him in our family.
Ty . . .
often times forgets or opts to go without wearing underwear. I recently found out he went to school one day without underwear.
is the most laid back of all of our boys. He goes with the flow and adapts to change very easily.
has very sensitive eyes, especially to sunlight and pollen.
likes school and talks about his friends "Lawson, Kade, Marissa and Bentley" often. He likes to read but not for a long period of time. He doesn't like sitting still for homework.
loves to make noise! He is very random and sporadic with his voices, but he can get very loud at times.
will ask for Mom to take care of any/every need, even when Dad is right next to him.
loves to be outside playing with sticks and climbing trees.
loves to play board games as a family- one of his favorite things to do!
doesn't like very sweet foods, and often doesn't finish dessert. But he could eat a whole bag of chips if I let him!
makes friends very easily, but is very shy in front of adults he doesn't know well.
Ty's choice for dinner was Truett's.

Birthday Playdate
Since school is out for winter break, we planned an indoor playdate. Since it's Ty's birthday I brought cupcakes for the kids. We ate lunch and the kids rode around the gym in the church and they could have stayed for hours. Love that they have their friends at church to grow up with.

Fun with Layla
Mark and Layla are more like brother and sister than cousins. They got to play together today and they always have so much fun!
