Baby Addy

We have been anticipating our new niece/cousin for a while now and we're very excited to hear she was coming!  I went and picked up Layla and she got to come play with the boys for a little while.  Collin and Sarah wanted her to be the first to meet her sister so I got to bring Layla to the hospital when she was born- Addy came just before midnight so the hospital was very quiet.  We waited for a few minutes and Layla was so anxious and then she got to meet her!  

The next day we played at home for a while, then went to a movie and came back to the hospital so the boys could meet Addy too.  They each took turns holding her.  We are so thankful for this sweet new baby!

July 4th Weekend

Chloe came to see us for the weekend!  We had so much fun; she went swimming with the boys, played inside and watched movies!  Her and I went to church together and then we went to the lake to watch fireworks.  The kids loved being on a boat watching the fireworks show- and the show was awesome!  They had glow sticks to play with while we waited for the sun to go down.  After the fireworks, Payton, Kylie & Marley came back to our house and Uncle Marcus thought it would be fun to go for a midnight swim!  Chloe and Mark went to bed and the older kids dove in for glow sticks at the bottom of the pool and swam for almost an hour!  They thought it was so much fun!  We had a great weekend and we're happy to have Chloe with us!

Library

The boys teachers encouraged them to read over the summer so we have been going to the library!  The boys love picking out a book and they look forward to going.  AJ is really into chapter books and Mark and Ty do a good job of picking books on their levels.  We read them at home and they ask when is the next time we can go back to the library!

Fun in the Pool

We are loving having a pool!  It was top priority when we were house hunting and I'm so glad we found this house.  I got a few action shots of the boys jumping in.  They love swimming and we spend a lot of time in the pool.

Layla came over and she had fun with the boys in the pool too.  She enjoyed having them push her around on the float!

Swimming with the Nichols

We are so happy to finally have the Nichols kids over to swim.  We love spending time with them and I loved hanging out with sweet Khloe.

Ty Puppets Fieldtrip

Ty's Kindergarten class took a field trip to The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta.  All the kids were excited and I was too since I got to attend.  The kids rode on the bus and all the parents drove separate.  When I saw Ty get off the bus I noticed him with his friend Allie.  Allie hopped off the bus and immediately whispered something to her mom; her mom looked at me and said, "Allie said Ty tried to kiss her on the bus".  Sure enough, I asked my son and he admitted it.  Allie's mom and I had a good laugh and I told Ty not to be kissing the girls!  

The kids got to make a cat puppet and move it to sound effects on a screen.  Then we ate lunch and watched a unique full stage puppet show; their own version of Beauty and the Beast (nothing like the Disney version).  The kids got a little bored and restless, but the puppets were very impressive.  

Later, after we were home I told Jeff about the field trip and he asked Ty what was it about Allie that he liked and why did he try to kiss HER?  His reply, "because she was sitting next to me"!  

Muffins with Mom & Ty

I came to school to have breakfast with Ty to celebrate Mother's Day.  The kindergarden teachers hosted a great time for the moms and the kids and Mrs. Blackburn read the book "I'll love you forever".  Evidently Ty thinks I'm very tall and skinny. :-)  I love that I get this time with them while they are young and I know it won't last long.
