Our small group got together today with our families to visit some nursing home residents. The kids made cards and cookies to hand out. The residents were very grateful and loved seeing the kids. We were glad that our kids were able to serve them and bring a smile to their faces.
This is such an amazing thing. These children have no idea how much they are positively touching the lives of those in the nursing home. When my dad was there, he would tell me stories of the kids coming by and reading stories, playing games, and putting on shows. His eyes would light up each time he talked about these kids.
