Field Trip

Ty's class took a field trip to Southern Belle Farm to learn about farm life.  They picked strawberries, went on a tractor ride, learned about honey bees, watched a cow being milked and they got to pet many animals in the petting zoo.  At the end of the day, they even got to jump on the jumping pillow!  We had a snack and some vanilla ice cream.  Ty loves being around his friends at school and plays with everyone!  Mark always has fun hanging out with Ty's class, he thinks he's one of them!

Mowing the lawn

It looks like we're getting very close to having this boy do some yard work on his own!  He mowed half the back yard all on his own today.  He's still learning how to stay on the line (I had to re-do a few rows) but he is a very hard worker.  Ty did a couple rows too!

Lunch with AJ

AJ's luch was early this week due to testing, so I decided to take Mark up to the big school to eat with him.  We had Chic-fil-A and then made silly faces.

Mark- 2 1/2

Our "not so little" Mark-Mark is 2 and a half!  He is a wild talkative toddler who rarely sits still.  He is full of energy and makes us smile every day.

Mark . . .

has a serious look on his face most of the time, especially around strangers

eats constantly.  He usually has a granola bar, a bananna, and cereal for breakfast and usually asks for more.  He'll get upset when I tell him "its all gone".  He eats all foods- theres nothing he doesn't like.

likes to watch Blaze and the Monster Machines, and Team Umizoomi

takes a nap everyday for 2-3 hours

loves to talk on the phone.  If he knows who I'm calling, he'll say "Lemme talk to Dadda" repeatedly.

loves to push his lawn mower around our yard and especially at Papa's house.  When Jeff or I mow the yard, Mark walks with his mower right behind us.

can count to 10 consistently and to 20 most of the time, sometime he skips 16.

is very polite and usually says "thank you" before I ask him to.  He needs a little work on using please.

loves his Dadda and asks for him a lot in the morning.  When I tell him "Dadda's at work", he'll say "I want Dadda"  He gets very excited to see Jeff when he gets home from work.

has an incredible imagination.  When he plays, he will be constantly talking about what is happening and where someone is, almost like he's telling a story.

wears 3T-4T shirts, 3T shorts, and has a size 11 foot. (both of his brothers were in a size 9 at 2 1/2 years old)

Easter Dinner and Egg Hunt

We enjoyed a yummy easter meal together at Nana and Papa's house.  Dadda and the Uncles went to hide the eggs and the kids were full of anticipation.  There were a lot of eggs (from the hunt at Papa's church) so it took a while.  We finally let them out and they had a blast hunting for eggs.  Mark and Layla quit before they were all found- there were just too many!

Ty's School Egg Hunt

We went to Ty's school today for their Easter celebration.  We got to go to chapel with the class and talk about the meaning of Easter with the dogwood bloom refrence to Jesus on the cross.  Then we all went down to the crosses and knelt down to pray at the foot of the cross.  It was a great experience and Ms. Kelly did an amazing job of explaning why we celebrate Easter.
