Funny Words

Aiden

We told him it was good for him to sleep because he gets taller when he takes a nap.  About 5 minutes after I laid him down, he came out from his room and said "Mom, I don't want to grow"

He is getting sneaky and when he wants to do something he knows he shouldn't he'll say "Mom, I want you to go in your room" (or somewhere else besides the room he is in).  He'll also say, "Mom, I want you to close your eyes".

We had turned the air off and opened the windows, but it was a little warm in the house and after laying in bed for a short while, Aiden came out of his room and put his hands up in the air and said "I am way too much sweating bullets"

When we are having a sugary treat and he wants more, Aiden will say, "Mom I'm still hungry for chocolate", and when I offer something not as tasty he'll say, "I'm not hungry for vegetables".

He calls a Pop Tart, "top part".

One day we were getting ready to go and I wanted the boys to stop playing and get in the car.  Aiden looked at his brother who was playing with the toy laptop and said "Ty, turn it off son".

A friend of ours told Aiden to be quiet so the baby (Ty) could sleep.  He said "Ty's not a baby, he's a tobbler"

When Aiden thinks something is extraordinary, he'll say "Oh Me Goodness"

We talk about letters and how to spell every one's names and Aiden recently told me, "I start with A and You start with M" (mom).

He randomly says "but" at then end of his sentences, but won't say anything after.  He'll say, "

I love this age because he has such an imagination and he is so funny!  Some of what comes out of his mouth makes me laugh so hard.

At the Park with Friends

A group of moms from our church got together today to let the kids play at the park and have a picnic.  The weather was beautiful and the kids had so much fun!

Aiden and Sadie love riding in the red car together- Sadie insists on red and Aiden goes with her choice.  With both of them in the car, they can really get it bouncing.  Their faces say it all in this picture!

Clara and Ty enjoyed their relaxing ride in the swings; so much so that they both actually fell asleep!  Emily and I laughed as they nodded off.  It was too cute.
A group picture at the end of the slide.  The sun was in their faces as you can tell :-)
Here are my boys with Walker- we loved that they were all dressed in red.
The kids had a great time playing together and of course I enjoy my time with the other moms.  We sat down and ate lunch and everybody got a little cranky, so we knew it was time to head home for a nap.

Cooking

The boys decided to raid my pantry today and "cook" some things in their kitchen.  They are such a team when it comes to getting into mischief!  Usually Ty leads and as soon as Aiden realizes that Ty isn't getting in trouble, he will join right in!  I figured letting them play with condiments and soup cans was harmless. :-)

Mowing before the game

The boys were ready to cheer their team on today!  We had some friends over and they wanted to make sure the lawn looked good before they arrived.

Their mowers are 2 of their favorite toys.  Jeff and I can't wait until they can use a real mower!

last pool day

We had to get one more pool day in with the Nichols' boys since their pool is closing this weekend.  As always, the boys had a great time playing in their awesome pool.  Kollin shared his goggles with Aiden, and he thought they were really cool!  We attempted a group picture and getting 5 boys under 5 years old to stand still and smile was no small task.  We will miss the pool days with them . . . until next summer.
