Decorating the Tree

Surprisingly, our tree survived the move, so it was put up and decorated today.  The boys did a great job and put up most of the ornaments themselves.  Dadda just had to add a few to the top where they couldn't reach.  We are getting many handmade ornaments from school and pre-school over the years and the boys and I love looking at all of them.  As usual there is always a debate over who gets to put the star on top and so it was a group effort, where I had the final touch of getting it straight.  It put us all in the Christmas spirit and got us excited for the season!

Other decorating we did around the house- our tradition of family pictures, we have 9, this is our 10th Christmas together!

Making Candy with Layla

Layla came over today and we are making our usual chocolate candy for the holidays.  Our chocolates aren't pretty and the kids get messy, but they have a lot of fun and they taste yummy!

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast

I went up to the school for Ty's Pilgrim and Indian Thanksgiving Feast.  The kids looked so cute and had a big lunch.  Ty was excited to show me the place-mat he made with his picture on it.  They ate lunch and then each class performed a song.  Ty's class did "Gobble Gobble" about a turkey on Thanksgiving day.  It was cute!  When it was time for parents to leave, Ty lost it.  He broke my heart because he didn't want me to leave and had big tears.  He rarely gets like that, but it reminds me of how little he still is.

Golf Club

The boys have been taking golf lessons after school for the past 6 weeks.  We went to the golf course to watch them show off their skills.  They have been learning how to swing, putting, and basic fundamentals through different games.  They both have improved and have really enjoyed the class.

Shopping with Mark

Mark got a shopping cart for his birthday and he asked if he could take it grocery shopping with me.  He was so excited and he loved putting groceries in it.  Besides wanting to "drive" it a little too fast a few times, he did great pushing it around the store.  This was a big shopping trip and towards the end, he said "I'm all done pushing my shopping cart" and I said, "oh no, you have to push it the whole time" haha!

Fun at Home

The boys were out of school today, so we went to pinterest to find a fun activity for us to do.  They loved making things with marshmallows and pasta.  Mark ate most of his marshmallows and AJ insisted we leave his creation up to show Dadda when he got home.

Blue Angels

Today we met the Hembrees out in Fayetteville to see the Blue Angels.  Their church held a service outside and then we were expecting a show.  Church was great, they put up a tent and we stepped over the mud, and then there was a lot of waiting, because it was a little rainy and very cloudy.  The show got delayed so we walked around, looked at the planes and got some snacks.  The boys loved the funnel cake!  Then we waited some more and finally they were able to do one fly over, but no tricks or anything because the weather just wouldn't cooperate.  At least we got to be together as a family all day!
