Today I got to spend some time with my sweet Ty. We made a gingerbread house together and had more ingredients to choose from that you can imagine. Ty loved putting lots of icing on his house and he was very creative with decorating it. He put a window on his house, a chimney, front door and even made a snow man. We had fun and I'm so blessed to be able to do these fun things with him.

All the boys went for a cleaning today, but it was Mark's first time since he is 3 now and he did great! Of course he loved the fun games and toys to play with and he was very still in the chair during his cleaning. Such a big boys like his brothers!

Performance at Church
On Wednesday nights, the boys and their friends at church had been preparing for a short play and today was their performance. They were both adorable and the whole group did a great job! AJ was a "decoration" and Ty was a "cookie". AJ had a short line and he said it right on que. The play reminded us that Christmas isn't about decorations, cookies, lights, or a tree; It's really about Jesus. At the end they sang "Oh What a Glorious Night".

Nursing Home Visit
Our small group got together today with our families to visit some nursing home residents. The kids made cards and cookies to hand out. The residents were very grateful and loved seeing the kids. We were glad that our kids were able to serve them and bring a smile to their faces.

Decorating the Tree
Surprisingly, our tree survived the move, so it was put up and decorated today. The boys did a great job and put up most of the ornaments themselves. Dadda just had to add a few to the top where they couldn't reach. We are getting many handmade ornaments from school and pre-school over the years and the boys and I love looking at all of them. As usual there is always a debate over who gets to put the star on top and so it was a group effort, where I had the final touch of getting it straight. It put us all in the Christmas spirit and got us excited for the season!
Other decorating we did around the house- our tradition of family pictures, we have 9, this is our 10th Christmas together!

Making Candy with Layla
Layla came over today and we are making our usual chocolate candy for the holidays. Our chocolates aren't pretty and the kids get messy, but they have a lot of fun and they taste yummy!

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast
I went up to the school for Ty's Pilgrim and Indian Thanksgiving Feast. The kids looked so cute and had a big lunch. Ty was excited to show me the place-mat he made with his picture on it. They ate lunch and then each class performed a song. Ty's class did "Gobble Gobble" about a turkey on Thanksgiving day. It was cute! When it was time for parents to leave, Ty lost it. He broke my heart because he didn't want me to leave and had big tears. He rarely gets like that, but it reminds me of how little he still is.
