Doc Update

Both the boys went for their check-ups on Monday.

Here are their stats:

Ty
Weight- 25lbs  72%
Height- 31 3/4in  93%
Head Circ- 19in  91%

Aiden
Weight- 36 1/2lbs  86%
Height- 39in  77%
BMI- 16.64  69%

Doctor P said that we have a lot to look forward to with Aiden; he said that with girls it's terrible 2s, but with boys it's terrible 3's.  He said we can expect him to be challenging our authority and becoming more defiant.  He said Ty can eat anything now and should understand the word "no".  I know he does and he will be hearing it more and more as he explores more things and places.  I asked him about getting Ty to nap longer and he said he is getting enough sleep and some kids are better sleepers than others.
The both got vaccines.  Ty got the MMR, PCV, and Hep A.  Aiden got PCV and Hep A.  Aiden went first and was such a trooper.  After the nurse gave him the shots he said "ouch, that hurt" and then he liked his cartoon band-aids she put on him.  Then . . . it was Ty's turn.  I laid him on the table and the nurse gave him the first shot and he screamed!  Aiden was very concerned and said "pick him up Mom" and "Ty's upset", he started to cry because he was worried about his little brother.  I told him that I would pick him up in a minute and this went on (both of them crying) for the 2nd and 3rd shots.  We had to calm down in the room for a few minutes afterwords; we dried the tears and were on our way.

  1. That is so sweet of Aiden to be concerned about Ty crying at the Dr.'s appointment.
Thanks for sending the report from the Doctor. The boys are growning up so fast.
