beds

Mark was pretty much busting out of his crib, so we decided it was time he moved to a big boy bed.  We talked about it for a couple days and used the time Jeff had off work to turn Mark's room into a more grown up room for AJ.  AJ would get his own room, Ty would move up to AJ's bed and Mark would sleep on the bottom bunk.  They were all excited about the change and we put Mark down for a nap in Ty's bed and he slept great.  Jeff and I painted AJ's room (2 coats to cover up the brown and green we originally painted when he was a baby and we first moved in) and he got a new full bed and my old desk that Gram painted for him.  AJ was really excited about his new room.  The first night after the usual bedtime routine, Mark started crying for a few minutes which caused Ty to cry.  Jeff went and talked to Mark and told him he was making Ty cry and from that point Mark stopped.  He said, "Don't cry Ty".  It was really sweet.  Mark has slept better in his bed than he had in his crib, I think he's more comfortable since he has room to stretch out.
